The mint mark on an 1887 silver dollar, specifically a Morgan silver dollar, is located on the reverse side of the coin. You can find it just above the "DO" in "DOLLAR," beneath the wreath. If there is no mint mark, the coin was minted in Philadelphia; otherwise, it will have a "S" for San Francisco or a "O" for New Orleans.
